Qimuseriarsuaq, verbatim in Greenlandic: The great place for sledding, better known as Melville Bay. It is one of the last sanctuaries of the Greenlandic Arctic. A gathering place for narwhals and polar bears, this immense bay covered with ice in winter is the hunting ground of the inhabitants of Kullorsuaq.

It is also one of the spouts of the Greenland ice sheet. Groups of scientists are particularly interested in this area where the ice (in the form of icebergs) of a large part of the Greenland ice cap is discharged.
